This project is a dense urban infill on a 1.7 acre site along Mazzeh Highway, the primary vehicular artery for the ancient and vibrant city of Damascus. The 270-key all-suites, fully amenitized high-end hotel sits poised above a multi-level podium of retail, dining and entertainment, including a hypermart.
A major consideration for the owner was to create a distinct visual identity and sight lines along a highly developed precinct of the city. Pedestrian, vehicular and service access were carefully considered for the various functions on this sloping site.
The architectural character of the project soaks up the richness of this historic city, combining the tapestry and artistry of antiquity with cutting-edge materials and a sleek silhouette.
