This 350-key business hotel sits within a dense urban setting in an emerging district of Kunming , the lush and leafy “City of Eternal Spring.“
Inspired by the spectacular “Stone Forest” natural formations in the nearby Shilin area of Yunnan, the architecture and guest experience provides an enduring and authentic narrative of the place.
The design moved away from the model of an exclusive hotel, the Stone Forest hotel opens itself up to its neighbors, drawing in visitors from the open-air retail district and residential communities to its South.
Moving through a series of stepped landscaped terraces, visitors and guests enjoy entertainment amenities and take in views from an elevated, lushly landscaped public plaza.
